Outsourced monthly accounting for an owner-managed services company
Anonymised owner-managed professional services firm (Nigeria)

The directors needed reliable monthly numbers without recruiting a full-time accountant. Bookkeeping had been intermittent, bank reconciliations lagged, and the board only saw a complete picture at year-end—too late to manage cash or tax instalments.
We took on ongoing bookkeeping, monthly bank reconciliation, payroll processing, and preparation of a management accounts pack covering profit, cash, receivables, payables, and tax balances. A short monthly call with the managing director explained variances and the cash position.
The firm now receives accounts early each following month and uses them for pricing, hiring, and tax-provision decisions. Year-end statutory reporting starts from maintained ledgers rather than a reconstruction exercise.
Measurable outcomes
- Monthly management accounts issued within ten working days of month-end
- Bank reconciliations brought current and maintained thereafter
- Payroll and related tax filings prepared from the same ledgers
- Year-end close shortened because books were already complete
